I have an outside motion sensor on my Elan system. It detects motion, and if after dark, it turns on lights on that side of the house.

I have a lot of experience with Elan but never did much with timers.

I want to add a timer so the light turns off after 10 mins but can't figure out how to do it in the event mapper. I thought I could just add a 10 min tiimer called "motion timer" and put that line item in the command (3rd part) area of the event mapper. And then an “off” command to those lights after the timer runs out. When I do this the light doesn't even come on at all. If I eliminate the timer and light “off” command line items in the 3rd area of the event mapper, the light does come on when motion is detected.

Anyone have any timer experience with Elan's event mapper commands?

Chasing Ernie's post count, one useless post at a time.
