However, I have to admit that I’ve worked 98% in residential. 1% in a solar field and 1% on a submarine. But I knew a little bit here and there in industrial and commercial.

After looking up “can a raceway contain wires from two different panels.” I discovered that it’s very possible and allowed. Though there seems to be a catch if it’s two different systems, ie grid and back up. To where the grounding shall be identified which it’s from.

So in short, yes wires from two different panels can be in the same raceway, conduit and boxes.
