I don’t have experience with this TV, but with large TVs on questionable walls in the past I have removed a section of drywall to install blocking where I wanted it. The TVs are so large and so close to the wall that it’s not really necessary to properly patch and repair the wall if the costumer doesn’t care about that. Obviously this is discussed before hand.

Hi Craig,
That's my current plan. Client is aware the wall will need to be opened up for wiring and likely in some other spots to for mounting the TV. They're also aware the TV won't sit flat against the wall if the wall behind it is not flat.
If the wall isn't flat, we'll probably take all the drywall down to correct and that will give me access for wiring and proper blocking.
Surprised no one here has installed one of these yet...
