When its Source Repeater Sink (as in Roku, Receiver, TV) my understanding is the receiver is doing both authentication to the source, and then repackaging and authenticating the signal to the TV.
So if the Roku throws up a HDCP issue on screen, is it only because it to the receiver had an issue, OR if the repackage authentication fails from the receiver to the TV, will the receiver tattletale and inform the Roku that it's sink link failed so stop sending image and throw an error?
Summary, for troubleshooting, if a Roku or similar displays an HDCP error on screen when a receiver is involved, do we need to trouble shoot both sides of the receiver, or only the source side?
