I have a client with several different setups in the house. Most are a Spectrum cable box and a TV; half include a DVD Player; and there's a home theater.
The previous A/V guy was let go because he could not come up with the concept "make all remotes operate similarly." He's got cable remotes, one MX-850, and a Logitech in the home theater (that the client can't figure out how to operate).
Client also has told me "don't do something stupid to save us a hundred or so bucks."
So... I'm looking at the MX-450 anyway, based on recommendation of a tech guy at URC. I've never programmed one, but I've programmed URC, RTI, Pronto, Marantz, etc for almost twenty years.
Some locations will benefit from control via RF.
Based on what I've described, might the MX-450 be a good idea? A horrible idea?
