Dish does have wireless capabilities. They have the Hopper 3 with built in WiFi. And their Wireless Joeys will work with it. They are advertised and sold as Wireless Joeys.
However, if you have a regular Joey and Dish Network’s WiFi dongle. Then that will work. As a matter of fact, that is how my system is set up.
H3 attached to my Apple AirPort Extreme (latest AC) via WiFi 2.4Ghz band actually. Then the regular Joey connected to the same network via the WiFi dongle, 2.4GHz.
You could also use the Ethernet jack on the back of either as well. Just as long all devices are on the same network.
