Had the EXACT same problem in two URC TC/Ruckus Unleased households. Hewhat The WiFi Chipset used in the 1080's is not the latest and greatest. As such the remotes have tendency to wander over to another Ruckus AP in the house that is not the closest. You will notice that in the remote setup window you will see multiple listings of the same SSID, and that when the remote is acting up a lower WiFi signal level reading and sometimes an explanation mark that indicates that it cannot connect to the controller.

Here is what you do. With the latest version of unleashed you can set up (5) AP groups. Create two Groups. "All" and "URC Room Name". Create new SSID's for each Remote (or groups of remotes). Assign the AP closest or strongest with that SSID. Leave it off all others. Now gointo the TRC1080 menu, delete the WiFi settings and join the new SSID. Once you have everything working you can hide the SSID. Take good documentation. Also you can enter the information into Accelerator for further use.
