So my client has 7 TV locations.
5 Clients (Model #?)
1 HS17
1 HR24

What head(LNB)/head end do i need?

As mentioned earlier by someone else, you can NOT have an HR24 on the same account as the HS17. They will not activate any legacy receivers on an HS17 account.
Also, if you have 7 TV locations, you miscalculated. Because the HS17 is a "server". It can not hook up to a TV itself, it has no video outputs. So you will need (1) HS17 and (7) clients.

The current SWM LNB has 13 tuner support on the single wire. If the wiring is home run, then you just need a SWM 8way splitter. Power for the system comes from the HS17, which has to be hooked up to the power passing port (red port).
