I'd go instantly with the Metra piece if
*When it loses power, it returns to the input it was on when power was lost.
*The same goes for other details: resolution etc
*There's no stupid brilliant blue light that has to be covered for the room to be dark.
*The same goes for red lights.
*The connections are all on one side... no five connections on one side, one on the other.

Also, of course, if it performed as needed.
