Update to my dilenma.
So this morning i pulled up the help tutorials and when through the steps of removing and then adding devices to CCP for my MX5000.
In the guide it talks about adding IP's in the Properties window for devices that use them. That I have done. Only one device was assigned assigned a port ID ( my LG TV) all others remain at 0. I have no base station attached and as I am looking to follow in BizarroTerl foot steps and not use a base.
Unfortunately for me in the RF CONTROL tab, it does not allow me to save the setting without a base station " Please select a receiver for all RF and Network devices" is the error message I am getting.
Here is the list of items currently in my arsenal
Device list:
Lg Tv 65UK7700
Denon AVR1912
NVIDIA Shield
Oppo blu ray
PS 3

I can currently control 4 out of the 5 items via IR. None via RF or Wifi.
I am not using Serial as I am not very well versed in that setup.

BizarroTerl- How are you able to control all your devices without the base?
How are you able to test in DATABASE an IP device when the TEST button is washed out so that one can not click on it.

Others- Is there something that I am not seeing or understanding with 1 way IP control?
