The “pinch area” is NOT on the handle. Your thumb and forefinger are on the blade, not the handle.
It is on the handle with the Chicago Cutlery knife. Much more comfortable with it built into the handle. The Victorinox handle isn't easy to hold. Maybe the 8" will feel better.
