Last night I ordered a Pioneer DV400V DVD Player. Less than $100 and spouted good media compatibility and DivX\DVD formats.
Has component video output, but I did not see mention of optical audio output so I hope to see and optical output on this player.
From what I could tell, most of the Pioneer models have similar looking remotes so I have a feeling that the discrete functionality will be there....although that's what I'm worried about.
All in all, it's a small risk...$100 if it doesn't meet my requirements.
