Where has this idea that a living wage must come from 1 job? It used to common for people in low wage, low skilled jobs, like waiting tables, stocking shelves, or packing fish, to work multiple jobs.
It also used to be common for one person to do that same job for 12hrs 6 days a week which is why unions were formed. But remember the good old days of post WW2? VA loans aplenty, single income home ownership, an economic boom that lasted into the early 70's.
Nobody complained that people made too much money.
