The TViX 6500 Media player uses a non-standard IR protocol which isn't available in any <10$ remote that I'm aware of. Although the IR protocol isn't standard, it is easily installed in a computer programmable remote. The simplest way is to get a OneForAll OARUSB04G, but it is about $25. Or you can buy a JP1 cable for about $8 and use pretty much any Cable remote made by UEI. For example Comcast, Time Warner, or Charter. Typically these can be bought on eBay for about $6 shipped. Probably any of the Harmony remotes will work.
For the curious: The IR protocol is NEC1-f16, with device 150. The second byte of the function numbers is set to zero rather than the normal bitwise complement of the first.
