Home also controls Zigbee and Z-wave Plus and costs an additional $100. But it's a moot point since the Ultimate has been replaced by the Ultimate Home.

DirecTV and Dish RF is Zigbee. Z-wave is used by hundreds of lighting and automation companies like Leviton, Honeywell, and many others. So the Home Hub system adds support of thousands more devices that use these protocols.

It doesn't offer native control of Z-wave/Zigbee, it requires an add-on hub that is not yet available or the use of something like a Smartthings hub. Long story short, firmware and in-app updates to the Harmony Ultimate will give it the same level of functionality as the Ultimate Home. There are a few smart devices not yet supported but will be shortly, but Nest and Hue have already been added as updates.
