As a long time Proto user who's TSU3000 died about a year ago, I sympathize. I've been using them since the 1000 came out in the late 1990's. But Daniel is right, there really are no alternatives to the Harmony. Although many other brands have the necessary abilities, exploiting them is limited to those who wish to engage a custom installer. A long time ago a retailer in my town was offering the Harmony 550 for $80 if you bought a suitably large item from them. I got a TV and so I got one of these for shits and grins. Once the Pronto died it came in handy. Now it is getting long in the tooth and Harmony seems to be the only company which makes anything like a serious remote control which can be easily programmed.
