I had a '69 Blazer and a '72 Jimmy (GMC version). I loved those vehicles. Of course I owned them at a time when they were nowhere near 40 years old, maybe 15-20 years old. I took the '69 in the opposite direction, up about 8 inches, with some rather large tires. At the time I lived in an area with hundreds of miles of very rugged off-road trails to explore. Fun, fun vehicle. I actually still have some random parts from them in my tool chest. Nostalgia.

Is your Blazer a 2wd? I've never seen too many of them around for sale, especially around the midwest. I'm hoping you keep this thread alive with some pictures of your progress. I'd love to do a project vehicle again some day.
