Greetings all. First time I have posted in quite a few years. Anyway, my Pronto Pro has been in storage with the rest of my home theater equipment for the last few years. Finally married and settled down (somewhat), I am getting a lot of it back out and hoping to start using the remote again if possible.

Anyway, I have all the paperwork, along with the software and cable (and USB adapter) for the remote. This is where the problem starts...

After installing the software, I have been trying to plug the cable into the remote, but can not seem to get the laptop to notice the remote at all. I have a brand new Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop with XP Professional running on it, but have tried all the USB ports to no avail.

I would imagine there is something here in the forums regarding this very issue and if that is the case, I am sorry for taking up space with this post, but can't seem to find any reason why the remote is not being recognized.

Any help would be appreciated.
