This is a big problem for the Sony DHG series, because they failed to put in a method of manually setting the clock... and what use is a DVR without a clock?
Even more annoying, the network jack that would've allowed internet updates was cost-cut before production. You can still see the blank space on the board and the cutout in the back of the case.
