Hi all,
I'm looking for a remote that will be able to handle on 4 devices (which from what I've seen is no problem at all), including my Samsung plasma TV, Sony DVD player, LG soundbar, and last but not least, my Dish Network VIP722 DVR. I don't really understand the difference between IR and RF signals and didn't know what the DVR accepted, but through my little amount of research, the DVR seems to be the one thing I couldn't find a lot of info about. I guess one of the main questions I have is, if I do replace the remote in the living room is there something I need to change in the settings of the DVR in regards to the signal it would receive from a replacement remote, and will that affect the 2nd remote that came with the DVR (I use remote #1 in the living room and remote #2 in the bedroom). Also, I'm hoping to spend under $200. Is there something out there that fits what I'm looking for?
