There is extra signal included with each button press on a directv remote, if you want a cleaner signal to decode for you process, do the following on the remote, then capture the signals:
1. dtv
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT, wait for two blinks, release
3. enter 9 6 3
4. press CH DOWN
