The standard UEI codes for RCA don't work for this TV and the code search kicks the TV into a test loop where the screen cycles through the 8 primary RGB colors.

What's the usual solution for dealing with TVs with unknown codes?

I could buy a Sony RMVLZ620 (or another cheap learning remote) and replace both remotes. The trick will be matching all of the buttons on the Atlas DVR.

The alternative is to somehow learn/decode the RCA remote (I only really need power & volume) then either match it to one of the UEI codes or program it into the Atlas via JP1. But can this be done more cheaply than replacing the Atlas, and is it even feasible?
