Hi,
I need help. I purchased a Denon DCD-820 CD player and it has no remote. The only way to control the volume (that I know of) is to use a remote (otherwise the player defaults to -20dB output level).
I am trying different codes with my universal remote UR5U-8780L-TWY supplied by my cable company (Time Warner), but none of them seem to work.
The complication is that the player's original remote does not have an on/off button, I am guessing that may be the reason why the player does not shut off when the right code is found by a remote? I did try manually putting several codes and pressing different buttons - none of them work.
Can this remote be used as a universal remote for Denon CD players? There is no CD button in its device buttons section.
I appreciate your help,
Thanks,
Matt
