This works, in 64bit Win7
Open Virtual XP, install Mx950 editor inside of virtual Xp, then active sync 4.2.

Connect your Mx-950 to a usb port. Then inside of virtual xp pick the USB pull down at the top. Attach the MX-950 may be an "unidentified device". watch when you attach it will spell out the Mx-950 if you attached the right device. If so...you will see a window to install the driver...Next Install the Mx-950 usb driver, its found here ( c:/ Program Files/Universal Remote Control, Inc\mx-950 editor\usb\window Xp\ then pick your os 32-64. Now open up active sync and sync the 950...

I can upload / download and program the Mx-950 inside Win 7/virtual xp.

It took a while but well worth the time.
