And BTW, the suggestions that were recomended filled all your criteria in the original post, to turn around and say that spending around $1k for a control solution for a $1,300 receiever was just too much money was kind of silly.

It's capable of controlling much more than just a receiver: lights, shades, A/C, TV, iPod, hot tub, sprinklers, even a cable box and a BluRay player. The fact that you aren't going to be using it to it's full potential doesn't effect the price of the remote systems, but should keep the programming costs down.

Instead of just saying you didn't want to spend more than your receiver, you should have posted a more realistic budget, that way we can make suggestions that fit your needs.
