drop me an email see my profile. I have a sirius tuner model SCH2P operating controlled by a PC with full 2 way communications. I started with the SH1000 but had too many problems so changed to the SCH2P. I have all the docs and manuals needed.
I connect the PC to the Sirius using an FTDI USB to RS232 cable plugged into the 8-Pin DIN connector. I ran a Line from a 12 Volt trigger on my A/V processor to the Sirius so it powers up whenever the A/V Tuner selects the port it (Sirius) is connected to. Works like a charm.
I can provide you with a PC Test program which I used to figure out what was going on.
The major problems I had were a bad antenna unit, but once I replaced it all was OK.
The PC is controlled by both an iPad and a Pronto PRO which also displays where the Sirius is tuned and what is playing (Artist, Album, track). I always put a 24/7 PC in my control loop(s). It is my "Cheap Mans Crestron" and a lot more flexible as I can program it to do anything I want!
