Ah, I get it. He's talking about the four round buttons that are found on DirecTV remotes, a lot of BD remotes, and maybe some others.
Yes, Burt, as 39 implies, it would be helpful to know what remote you're trying to program. "DirecTV Device" could be a title in several different types of software, each with their own approach to adding graphics to them.
