I copy DVDs to SVHS tape sometimes because I can rent them on tuesday for 49 cents, but have to bring them back on thursday. My wife works so damned hard that she's only got time to watch movies with me on the weekends. If I watch a DVD movie that I think she'll enjoy, I make a copy of it to my JVC SVHS deck. In my setup, all (four) video sources go into a SIMA SVS-4 video switch. It has two outputs. One S-video output goes straight to the TV's S-video input, and the other goes to a SIMA Video COPYMASTER then to the S-video inputs of the JVC. I have yet to find any video original (VHS or DVD) that I could not copy. If my wife or I REALLY like a movie, I go looking on the WWW for a good DVD price and buy it for our collection. The SVHS copied tapes get reused each week.
