I HATE DIVX. Period. Boom Bing. Gone. but, this last posting by Dennis Bassi was the arguement a Good Guys employess used on me and it had a spec of validity. The posting by dennis is this: The reason that I copy DVD's is for time shifting only. Sure, I would like to watch the rented DVD
straight off of my player, but sometimes I am busy and can't get to the movie I rented, or I end up
falling asleep watching it! Therefore, I have my VCR going so that I can return it the next day.

I buy any DVD's that I am truly interested in keeping

Doesnt DIVX sound like the solution for him. I personally have been nailed by Blockbuster when I rented 3 or 4 DVDs adn then I accidently return them late. Its this problem that I have seen many of our die hard open format customers switch over.
DIVX is not for me and it will never be. It makes me sick to see it.
I support Alexes viewpoint, why copy, when thay arent that expensive and yo can get them in 5.1 input. Plus you kill all of the features. You might as well ahve a DIVX machine...Im putting on my armor after this posting. LOL
