Hey All!

New member to the site. Was hoping to get some help on buying a simple universal remote control for my AV setup. First off, here's the list of devices i have:

Wood Technology WhisperLift (with RF).
New XBox360 Slim.
Samsung UN55D6000 Television.
Sony STR-DH520 Receiver.

Looking at this site, i can see the WhisperLift has been an annoyance for some users. It looks like people have gotten it to work with IR, but i don't know about doing the same for RF.

Also, I'm a n00b, and it's not clear to me if the Xbox, Samsung or Sony devices are IR or RF. Do modern devices support both? Or do they usually support one or the other?

My needs for the remote control are fairly simple. First and formost i need it to be able to support the following commands:

0) Important - Up/Down for the WhisperLift tv Lift.
1) Power on/off for the Samsung tv.
2) Volume control for the sony receiver.
3) Input selection (with dedicated device buttons) for the sony receiver.
4) Power on/off for the XBox.
5) Standard xbox buttons(y, x, a, b)
6) Navigation buttons.
7) Playback buttons.

Ideally, these would all be physical buttons. But i can accept LCD as long as it works :)

I would imagine that most universal remote controls would work fine with the XBox, Samsung and Sony. However, the whisperlift lift throws a wrench into the equation. Does anyone know of a remote that will work with that device? Preferably the remote would be capable of learning so that i could just program it from my existing remotes and not have to hunt down codes.

The cheaper the better, but i'm willing to pay more if a single remote can actually do all of the above.

Thanks much!
