Here is a 1000' view on setting it up, some steps you have already done:
1) right click the root/Master Project and select the network tab. This is one place other projects can derive from. Set the SSID, Encryption and key. The encryption options include WPA/WPA2 personal (what I'm using now).
2) in advanced WiFi choose Multiple Access Points, then Specific and select 3 channels. Use automatic for a sure bet and specific to reduce the time to connect. Automatic can take 5(ish) seconds here where selecting the right 3 channels in Specific will reduce the time by 60% and connect in 2(ish) seconds. My hotspot is 20' away. Additionally, select "Every" radio button in Scan Strategy to scan every 1 minute. Ignore the warning(s) initially to just get the connect to succeed.
3) Projects under the root inherit Master Project properties(or set the network the same).
