hi, i am playing with my new 9600 and im trying to get it to connect to my network. So far i have had no success and im getting a bit frustrated.
My router is an Apple Airport extreme and i have WPA personal encryption. I dont want to leave my network open as my neighbours will be on it in seconds so its not an option. I have tried a fixed ip but as im not an expert on this i got nowhere and quickly gave up. I have no issues with any of my other 11 wifi connected items on the network and i do have problems with the occasional fixed ip as because i have so many devices they play up when they end up on the same address. I have downloaded the latest firmware to my device 7.4.22 and have put my network name as the SSID and have a mac address showing in the settings screen underneath my network name. The device just says connecting and there is an x in the wifi section.
Can someone please help as i want to set up my apple tv with a script.
I do not have any extenders. i just use the device as is.
