The AVC Group is recruiting a Senior Project Manager that has a passion for technology and trends to work with its iconic brands to be the driving force in bring new and exciting products to market in the custom installed audio, video and control markets.

You need to be an effective communicator and enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds including engineers, product and marketing managers as well as senior management and overseas vendors. You must be a persuasive and proactive individual that can manage change, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. You must thrive in a dynamic fast passed environment.

The Project Manager will plan, execute, and finalize projects within the AVC Group’s engineering team according to strict deadlines and within budget. They will direct and manage the project from kick off to customer shipments. This includes managing resources and coordinating the efforts of cross functional team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.

The Project Manager is responsible for keeping the projects on track, on schedule and on budget and must possess the ability to foresee the entire project as a whole at all times. The Project manager must be an effective communicator to keep all members that are involved in the project informed.

Responsibilities
•Works with team member’s, product managers and senior management to develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents that includes the scope, schedule, budgets, goals, and other deliverables.

•Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from project approval to project closure.

•Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

•Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

•Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

•Plan, schedule and track project timelines, deliverables and milestones using appropriate tools.

•Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

•Maintain meeting minuets and issues lists.

•Review the content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

•Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

•Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Position Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required

•5 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.

•Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) highly desierable

•Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project

•Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.

•Flexible during times of change.

•Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.

•Strong written and oral communication skills.

•Strong interpersonal skills.

•Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

•Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
