Well, people looking to find things wrong with the Sony picked on the lip-sync problem. And try to make it seem like ALL Sony players had it. Now that the particular issue has been fixed, they still pick on it. :-)

Yes, Toshiba also make good DVD players. I, however, have not used one for any length of time and thus can't form an educated opinion. I HAVE used several Sony players for well over a year and can heartily recommend them.
