I have both, the sony is a great machine, i got one in the 135000 s.# range So no lip sync problem , follow the prev. post from jd and you will get a GOOD one .if you dont require a onboard decoder the tosh. is a great choice.the remote on the sony is much better but the unit is more expensive.good luck,joe
