As long as you havent ruled out the Toshiba, I will reccomend the 3109 or the 2109. The main difference between the two is that the 3109 has HDCD decoding and it also has a two disc capacity. Although I know you are not looking for multi, the 3109 is actually pretty cool. It has only one drive and you can switch discs while the other one is still playing, so its not like a cartridge. Besides that they are pretty much the same. For value I think it is hard to beat those two Toshiba DVD players. The picture is absolutely beautiful. So if you dont care about HDCD or having to get up to change between discs, than the 2109 might be a good choice. Oh yeah, I think the 2109 only has one digital output also. Happy shopping. I would watch out for the Sony though, Ive read so much bad stuff about them, I would be scared to buy one.
