Okay, so I've been clinging to my old Philips TS-1000 for many, many moons. I have loved being able to configure my own remote. I am very comfortable programming things cuz I do that for a living. I have been using a hacked up Daniel Tonks CCF for more years than Daniel would probably want to admit.

So, I have a wealth of IR equipment most of which is hidden behind a Xantech Hidden Link kit. However, I've also invested in AppleTV2 and have an iPad and the Mrs and I both have iPhones.

I'd like to hear from any RedEye users that have used it with an emitter hub setup like Xantech. Where did you put it (the RedEye xmtr)? I see the need to continue to use IR at times, but want to be ready to move into the next generation which I believe will be peer-to-peer WiFi.

Big issue. The final solution has to be easy for the rest of my house members. I have non-tech folks in the house. I need to be able to create high-level macro buttons that just "do things correctly".

Thoughts? Help?
