I have an AV cupboard with AV equipment which I need to control from 3 different locations via RF(reason for RF is it needs to travel through walls and 1 storey/floor), but I also need to control devices in that room that are IR controlled(tv's) so I think I need a remote to do both?!. The maximum distance from the Av cupboard at anyone time will be approx a radius of 30ft.
For remote I've looked at the PRONTO-TSU9600/RTI/HARMONY Needs to be able to: run macros
For RF receiver I've looked at the MSC-400, MRF-350 Needs to be able to: emite to: Sky, Matrix, Pc, Nuvo Grand Concerto
All cabling would have to be in the AV cupboard and minimal if none at the tv locations.
I really dont mind spending a few quid buying the right equipment. I'd like to use RS232 (but i'm not sure I could do that via RF to then convert it to IR in the AV cupboard!). I just want it to be text book and work when asked, and as if your in the same room.
Can anyone help me put this to bed. I've literally spent months on it. The person with the best solution gets a McDonalds coffee voucher and a picture of me with a big smile and thumb up while drinking a coffee.
P.s Do not like the URC they look like a polished..
