Maybe, but look what it says in the description:
"This remote is part of the HP Media Center PC, HP Media Center Extender package and It works with any HP / Compaq PC or laptop running a version of Windows with Media Center. This remote is made for the HP, but it works great on Any computer running Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate. "
The only thing I have not tried the remote on Vista. I can not believe that runs only on Windows Vista. I tried XP and Windows 7.
