I would agree two standalone players is a better option. But there is a great dual format player coming out soon by Samsung. The first review of the BD-UP 5000 can be read at HD Guru.com.
[Link: hdguru.com]It sounds like it has the potential of being a great machine. It has the Silicon Optix’s Reon chip. It will do 1080p/24. And besides having HDMI 1.3 it also has 7.1 analog audio connections. And last but not least it will support the lossless formats TrueHD and DTS-HD MA. It might need a firmware upgrade to do HD MA though.
