I currently have a TSU7000 and want to upgrade to a newer Philips model. How difficult will it be to transfer the current 7000 code to the newer model?

In short, if you upgraded to the TSU9400 all you'd have to do is download and install PEP v1 for the TSU9400, import your current PCF, then download to the remote. If you were using extenders you'd have to upgrade those as well of course, then updating your configuration file accordingly in PEP which is trivial. You also might need to update some of your graphics as PEP only supports PNG transparencies. The TSU9400 also offers additional hard buttons, so you'd want to take the time to assign actions to those buttons, but right out the gate you'd be in business. Going from the TSU7000 to the TSU9600/TSU9800 would require more work on the graphics end as you'd need to update your layout from portrait (240x320) to landscape (640x480). Right out the gate you'd still be good to go though. You'd just have to use the stylus as your pages would be very small appearing in the upper left corner of the screen. I used my TSU7500 configuration file "as is" with a TSU9600 for a month or two before finally getting my layout updated to take advantage of the whole screen area.

See post 6 of this thread where I reply to the same question basically in greater detail.
