The only way to do this without script is to double all your activities - one activity for "him" and one for "her".
Big disadvantage is however, that if you have to change your configuration you have to do it twice.

I really would recommend prontoscript to do this.
It is a typical possibility for using a global variable as a flag - just as you stated above.
