Got some spare time this weekend and decided to start from scratch. Unplugged and removed all emitters and re-located the extender. Not sure what was wrong the first time around but after I plugged the emitters back in and powered on the extender; everything worked perfectly!! All commands respond without a hitch, even at long distances. I decided that it is easiest to operate in Stand-Alone mode as I also have no need to connect to my home network. Thanks to everyone for your help and suggestions.
