The hidden install entries for CEDIA's Electronic Lifestyles Designer Awards.

Does you think the room is too small for their dream home theater? Do you think the electronics ruin the aesthetics?

There are lots of ways to conceal electronics and more consumers are starting to go that route.

As part of its Electronic Lifestyles Designer Awards, CEDIA has compiled some of the most creative solutions for hiding electronics, including ways to conceal flat-panel TVs, projection screens, speakers, and more without compromising performance.

For this competition, CEDIA says "a hidden installation must reflect a unique, innovative, or creative technique or use of technology that effectively hides or blends with the surrounding living environment when not in use."



Disco Fever
A dynamic couple wanted their new pied-à-terre to double as an entertaining venue by having the ability to convert the main living area (living and dining room) into an edgy, yet tasteful, discothèque at the touch of a button.

Thinking Outside the Box
Our client wanted to convert his finished bonus room, which at the time included a simple home theater in a box and 50” plasma, into a top notch dedicated theater space, but he had some very specific aesthetic concerns. Unsure about doing a theater screen verses a flat screen he told us he didn’t like the look of such a large boring empty looking space that the screen would impose upon the room.
