Downloaded Touch screen set-up from this site hooked up my serial cable between Marantz & computer & could not get program to transfer to computer.
By looking around rem central I determined that my cable was not pinned out right. Corrected this & tried again. Still no communication between remote & comp.
Did another search on remote central & determined serial to usb converter was set up for COM port 4 & needed to be set to COM1. Made this correction & remote begins to communicate with comp. File transfered & I begin to look at it in order to plan migration to a TSU7500 with required changes.
While looking at computer, I holding on to RC5200 & it appears to display its screen when held certain ways. I figure out the thumb wheel on side for LCD briteness at fault. Being a TV repairman many many yrs ago, prompted me to open, clean control, reassemble & del back to customer.
NO NEED FOR ALL THE COMPUTER STUFF BUT THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE WILL BE VERY VALUABLE IN FUTURE!
