You say that the IR through the front sensor works fine. Did you sent that code via the TSU9600? If no, then you should learn the code into the TSU9600, and then map the device you learned the code for to the extender's IR output port.
The carrier frequency is part of the IR code data, in other words, is set automatically when learning the code into TSU9600.
