I have a RFX9600 and TSU9600. This setup normally works perfectly. I control among other things an airconditioner unit (a cable is run from the RFX9600 to the Airconditioner unit with an IR emitter eye within line of sight of this unit).
The control is reliable an causes no problems.
Recently I purchased the ProntoTimer script from Rothmediatechnik. I love using it, it automates my airconditioning, TV comes on in the morning, so does the lights, and it all switches off at a given time. My own SIMPLE home automation - it is all I need.
The problem is: The "switch on timer" using this prontoscript for the aircon has never worked. The switch off timer works perfectly. I can see the script activating and executing the command to switch the aircon on, but it seems the command is actualy not sent or maybe incompletely sent. I have made 100% sure that it is not the IR code that is the culprit by re-learning it. My RFX9600 works perfectly otherwise.
I have contacted Michael Roth and he has been willing to help, but he is unsure and thinks the problem is in my network.
Any bright ideas anyone? Please?
Could it be that the IR code does not get transmitted for long enough a time period? If I hit the "on button" on the TSU9600 and keep my finger on it for half a second it, the device switches on, but if I release it instantaneously it does not switch on. Is this how it is supposed to work, or am I missing something? are these two things related?
