10 years before that I used to lug an Osborne 1 around. It weighed around 11 kilos (24 lb). After showing that off for a month the wow factor died and it stayed on the desk. I think it was around the $2500 mark (probably $1800 US)
You nearly needed a magnifying glass to read the screen, and I used to program Dbase II on it (call that programming!)
It had Supercalc and Wordstar as well
PS I've used all those compression formats except AIN 2.2 - did not know of that one
