About the Scene |
DVD Title: | Amelie from Montmartre |
Location: | whole movie |
Features: | exceptional rich soundfield |
Description: | I can only decribe the German audio track as my video rental did not offer a multilingual version, but: I've never seen or heard a movie where the rear channels are _that_ busy ! The dialogues are quieter than usual (in synch'd soundtracks) and this is definitly _not_ an action movie , but there are tons of ambient noises (rain, wind in the trees, fountains in the parks, mopeds and voices all around in the streets and markets of Paris; particularly impressive are the railway station scenes - steel buildings produce a lot of subsonic rumble when a train rolls by :-)). This movie really "pulls" you into the screen action ! The picture quality is more than OK, too, though not exceptional. |
