Remote targeted to custom installers
At this year's CEDIA, Universal Remote Control revealed their new Home Theater Master MX-700 universal remote control. As it turns out, we covered everything there is to know about this product in our live news update (click here for the article). Although we were interested in obtaining new photographs of actual MX-700s to replace the computer-generated images we were provided with, Universal Remote Control did not have final MX-700 remotes on display.

Instead, they had a model that was about halfway between the MX-500 and the new MX-700. So, we'll only include one photograph taken from the show floor, just to show you the new "GemStone" button style which is very similar to the finish on the Home Theater Master MX-1000. Once again, the product you see in the photo is not final and, besides for a few prototypes, doesn't exist. Shown were versions of the remote in beige ("sandstone", pictured), yellow ("champagne") and blue ("indigo"). Of the three, the metallic champagne was my favorite - and apparently theirs - almost resembling a classy automotive finish.
